The Scale of Finance

Launching a Newsletter to all SMB Owners

The Finance of Scale launches July 8th, the weekly newsletter for SMBs looking to optimize their finances and supercharge growth. Here’s what to expect going forward.

First, a little bit about me and how I got here.

A little under 2 years ago, I launched Scalable CFO, a fractional CFO consultancy helping $1M-$100M companies maximize their cash flow—supporting them every step of the way as they grow into financially well-run enterprises and giving owners the confidence they need to lean into success.

So, why do I do it?

  1. Because Business Finance = Personal Finance. In other words, as a small business owner, your SMB’s success often ties directly into your personal financial success.

  2. Knowledge & process gaps keep small businesses from reaching their full potential.

Business Finance = Personal Finance

As an owner, your business’ financials aren’t just about the business. They’re tied directly to your income.

Working alongside our 35 clients, overseeing over $300M in revenue, we’ve helped them gain the confidence they need to get aggressive about their goals.

Knowledge & Process Gaps

Here’s where we come in.

Building this business over the last 2 years has given me great insight into how small businesses operate and what they need.

In this newsletter, I’m sharing fresh ideas and best practices for sub-$100M companies, using my consultancy as an example throughout. Our data and metrics are far from perfect, but I’m putting them all out here to show you how to work with what you’ve got to run an efficient business.

Each week, I’ll be sharing the ideas, process controls, and templates we use to manage growth—all of which can be easily applied to your business. At the same time, I’ll be covering everything from budgeting and cash flow management, to tax planning and financing.

Whether you’re a seasoned entrepreneur or just starting out, this newsletter’s designed to help you succeed and stay ahead of the competition.
