Back at It Again

+ What to Expect Going Forward

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the break.

But it’s time to get back to newslettering.

And now that I’m back, here’s a quick preview of what you can expect from me in the coming weeks—plus my vision for the publication going forward.

First and foremost, we’re going to be diving deeper—starting with the feedback that I’ve solicited via Twitter.

Here’s what that means.

More templates.

I’ve lost count of how many requests I’ve gotten for the models that I’ve built—whether it be 13-week cash flows, budgets, or P&Ls that walk the reader through step-by-step analysis. So, by popular demand, I’m shifting my focus towards sharing more resources like these.

Business model breakdowns.

Whether their goal is to buy a business, to enter a new market, or to revisit their value proposition, I often find myself educating clients and those who reach out to me online about the ins and outs of different business models. So, my upcoming posts will explain each in depth, discussing the pros, cons, and what to look for in each.

An inside look into what I’m building at Scalable.

I’ll be getting real about everything I’ve learned since starting my firm in 2021 and growing it from a one-man Fractional CFO consultancy, to an 11-person financial services firm offering everything from bookkeeping and FP&A to digital products and OG CFO services. I’ll be sharing what’s worked, what hasn’t, and exactly where I’ll be taking the business over the next 10 years. I’m excited to take y’all along for this ride with me.

Next week, I’ll talk about where I’m taking Scalable—my biggest goals, how I know where to focus, and everything I’m doing to make success inevitable.

As always, I read every email response. So, if you’d like me to talk about anything that’s not on this list, shoot me a message and I’ll write about that too.
